Village Of Calumet Holds Public Forum To Discuss Zoning and Marijuana Ordinances

Lot’s of feedback from the Village of Calumet Public Hearing last night.

The ordinances regarding zoning and recreational marijuana were on the table, and it went something like this.

A resident known as Caller 2 gave his opinion.

Chris Davidson would like to make sure the 1,000 foot rule between a marijuana shop and a school is maintained.

Jeff McMahon took a moment to thank the Village, for the work they’ve put into this.

Krista came at the issue from a different angle.

Pastor Joel from the Keweenaw Baptist Church.

Virginia Dwyer was unclear how the ordinance would be enforced.

The Planning Commission and the Ordinance Committee will next meet electronically on June 10th, to discuss the input gathered from last night’s meeting.
