Vendors and entries into the parade are being sought for this year’s Bridgefest.
This year’s celebration includes the Bridgefest parade on Friday, June 14 at 7:05 pm. The route begins in Hancock and proceeds over the Portage Lake Lift Bridge. It continues through downtown Houghton ending just past the Magnuson Hotel.
Find parade registration forms and detailed information online at www.bridgefestfun.com. Entry registration is now open. All entries will be assigned a slot for the parade lineup in June. The $35 registration fee must be paid prior to the parade. Payment information is available on the registration form. Line-up instructions will be emailed to the registered contact person(s) for each entry during the week leading up to the parade.
New this year in honor of Flag Day on June 14, 2019, there will be judging and prize money for the best American flag-themed entries. Further details on judging will be included with line-up instructions. Get patriotic and decorate a float/parade entry to show your patriotism to our community.
Prizes include:
- $500 for 1st place
- $300 for 2nd place
- $200 for 3rd place
Food vendors and non-food vendors are invited to apply/register to sell their products to the public on Friday, June 14, 2019, and Saturday, June 15, 2019.
Registration forms and detailed information are available online athttp://www.bridgefestfun.com/. Food vendors may apply now and will be notified of their acceptance after review by the Bridgefest committee and paying their vendor registration fee. Food vendors may choose to apply for spaces both inside and/or outside the Ray Kestner Waterfront Park (Houghton Beach).
Non-food vendors may register now and will be assigned their space after all applications are received in early June. The registration fee must be paid in full for a vendor to be assigned any space.
Registration amounts and payment information are available through the online application/registration forms. All vendors must provide proof of insurance to a Bridgefest committee member at check-in on Friday or prior to the event.
No outside alcohol vendors are allowed at Bridgefest.
