Used Book Sale This Weekend At Portage Lake District Library

Book worms will have plenty of opportunities this weekend to gather some new reading material.

Friends of the Portage Lake District Library are holding a used book sale.

“The mission of the Portage Lake District Library is to inspire our diverse community to discover, imagine and connect.”

That’s library director Dillon Geshel, who encourages local readers to stop into the library and check out some of the community programs that the library has to offer.

The sale will take place in the Michigan room at the library, and is said to have a large selection of used books, audio books and DVDs.

The used book sale is intended to raise money for library projects and items provided by Friends of the Portage Lake District Library.

Items purchased with proceeds from previous book sales include books, furniture, computers, a work bench and the Children’s Listening Center, to name a few.

The sale begins Friday at 6:00pm, continues until 8:00pm, then resumes Saturday morning from 10:00am until 1:00pm.
