UPSET Breaks Up Meth Lab In Iron Mountain

The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team, has busted up a meth ring in Iron Mountain. They have been investigating for the last several months and earlier this week, arrested 64 year old Michael Benvenuto and 40 year old Charles Kline, both of Iron Mountain. Both suspects were taken to the Dickinson County Jail. Kline was arraigned on May 6th, and charged with three Counts of Delivering Methamphetamines and one Count of OPerating a Drug House. Benvenuto was arraigned yesterday, and charged with three Counts of Delivering Methamphetamines, three Counts of Operating a Drug House and an additional charge of being a Habitual Offender. Iron Mountains State Police Post and the Iron Mountain Police Department assisted in the arrests.
