UPPCO Warns Of Another Phone Scam

The Upper Peninsula Power Company says residents are being targeted with another phone scam.

UPPCO says scammers are calling customers and asking that they call back a certain phone number, stressing that a technician is on the way to their home to disconnect, not the phone, but the power.

Officials with the power company say the caller ID of the suspicious call belongs to a phone company.

Customers should call UPPCO if they receive a suspicious call.
