UPPCO Sets New Consumer Guidelines During COVID-19 Pandemic

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Upper Peninsula Power Company has issued new guidelines for customers and UPPCO employees.

Brett French, Vice president of Business Development and Communications stated “Utility workers are considered essential services and their health is critical to maintaining reliable energy service. We are continuing to provide critical infrastructure support under Governor Whitmer’s Stay Home Stay Safe executive order and we are asking for everyone’s help to ensure our workers remain healthy and fit for duty.”

Until the pandemic has subsided, UPPCO is asking consumers not to approach workers if you see them outside, and maintain a 6 foot distance, if they enter your home.

The Upper Peninsula Power Company serves over 55,000 homes in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
