The Copper Country ISD’s Auto Tech CTE Program will benefit from a truck donated by the Upper Peninsula Power Company.

UPPCO Regional Account Executive Dan Crane presented a 2008 Ford Ranger to Auto Tech teacher David Narhi and Auto Tech assistant Jeff LaMuth.

Narhi said that the CTE Auto Tech program has some cars and SUVs, but did not have a truck.

The truck donation will be an asset to the program, allowing students to work on and explore the inner workings of a truck.

UPPCO’s Dan Crane was an active member of the CTE Steering committee this past year.

“This donation is another example of Upper Peninsula Power Company’s longstanding commitment to support the communities we serve throughout the Upper Peninsula,” said Crane. “It’s our pleasure to support the Copper Country Intermediate School District’s Career Technical Education program.”

Superintendent George Stockero said the ISD is very appreciative of community organizations, such as UPPCO and others for their continued support of Career and Technical Education in the Copper Country.

CCISD board members echoed Stockero’s comments and voted to send a letter of appreciation to UPPCO for the donation.
