UPHS Adds Urology Specialist

As received from UP Health System-Portage:

UP Health System – Portage is pleased to welcome Heidi Sutcliffe, NP-C, to the Urology staff. Board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Heidi completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Walden University, where she also earned her Master of Science in Nursing. Heidi will focus on treating patients with urinary tract, bladder, or kidney problems, which include common conditions such as kidney stones, urinary tract infections, and urinary incontinence.

For many patients, urology issues are sensitive and can be difficult to discuss – leading several to delay care. Heidi focuses on promoting healing, wellness, and vitality. When asked about her medical philosophy as a provider, Heidi said, “I like to treat patients as family or close friends and with the utmost respect, all while improving their quality of life through evidence-based practice.”

While considering the move to the Copper Country, Heidi felt drawn by the access to outdoor activities and the small-town community. “My family is from the Upper Peninsula, so it has been my second home since I was a young child,“ said Heidi. “I have always considered the UP to be one of my favorite places on Earth.” Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, golfing and volunteering in the community.

Heidi joins Urologist Stephen Lipson, MD, FACS, at UPHS – Portage. The Urology specialists see patients at 500 Campus Drive, Hancock, MI.
