Upgrades Continue At Calumet Colosseum

With the NHL preseason game right around the corner, the Calumet Colosseum is getting some upgrades to be ready to host the popular event.

The Detroit Red Wings and Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues will face off on September 26th in Calumet as part of the Kraft Hockeyville USA prize.

These improvements will benefit the world’s oldest still-in-use indoor hockey arena long after the game is over.

New heaters are currently being installed along with a new compressor. New flooring material has arrived and will be installed soon as well.

The dehumidifier has also been repaired and the locker rooms are getting a complete overall with new paint and flooring.

Details on the lottery system to distribute the free tickets to the game and the morning skates have not been announced.
