Updates On Upper Peninsula Crimes

We have updates on crimes recently reported by Keweenaw Report.

A 39 year old male from Calumet, has been arrested, due to a search warrant that  was issued, after a meth lab was discovered on Caledonia Street.

The suspect’s name has not been released, until his arraignment in 97th District Court.

And the name of the suspect in the shooting in Greenland Township this past Sunday, has been released.

The suspect in the shooting Sunday morning, has been charged with Assault with Intent to Murder and Felony Firearm.

24 year old Cole Wascher of Greenland Township allegedly threatened the victim.

When the victim attempted to defend himself, Wascher shot him.

Wascher was arraigned at the 98th District Court, and remains at the Ontonagon County Jail. 

If convicted, Wascher faces up to life in prison.
