UP Health System – Portage Welcomes Their First Baby of 2019

HANCOCK, Mich. (January 3, 2019) – UP Health System – Portage is ringing in 2019 with the year’s first bundle of joy. Weighing 8 pounds and 2 ounces and measuring 20 inches, Clay was born to Brenda and Drew, Wednesday, Jan. 2, at 10:25 AM.

“We are so excited to meet our new baby boy!” said Brenda. “The physician, nurses and staff all helped to make this such a special experience for us, and we are so grateful for the wonderful care our family received.”

UP Health System – Portage’s Family Birthing Center is committed to providing high quality, compassionate care close to home for new and expecting parents in the region. The Center offers 5 private delivery rooms, VBAC services, lactation support and a C-section operating suite.
