UP Health System Portage Earns Fourth Straight “A” Grade For Patient Care

UP Health System Portage has earned an “A” Rating during the Spring 2020 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade.

This is the 4th consecutive “A” Rating for UP Health System Portage.

The rating recognizes the organizations commitment to providing safer care to patients.

The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization, dedicated to healthcare quality and safety.

New Chief Executive Officer Ed Freysinger, had this to say about UP Health System Portage employees.

Freysinger also took a moment to address concerns patients are having about coming to the hospital for care.

The UP Health System Portage has served the Western Upper Peninsula since 1896.
