UP-Based Web Series Being Screened At Calumet Theatre

A web series produced in the Upper Peninsula is being screened at the Calumet Theatre Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.

Northbound is a described as following the journey of a lone father as he travels across a rugged post-Cataclysmic North American landscape with his comatose daughter.

Show co-creator and Iron Mountain-native Seth Anderson says the audience will be able to catch up on the first two seasons of the series shown in its entirety on the big screen as well as get a sneak peek in the upcoming third season.  “We are going to show never before seen preview footage of season three, which is now in production, and this will be the first time anyone gets to see this material anywhere,” said Anderson.

The total runtime of the first two seasons is one hour and 20 minutes.  The series is meant to be a proof of concept for a future film titled Northstar that will also be filmed in the UP.

Anderson said, “We’re going into production again in late spring.  The weather dictated that and then from there we plan to premiere season three sometime later next year and then of course the film after that is what we’re planning.”

Saturday’s screening is free and and will host the filmmakers and members of the cast.  All episodes can be viewed online through Seeka TV.
