A basketball game of significance takes place today.
Hancock Middle School, has been awarded Special Olympic Unified Champion School status, and will host their first basketball game, at the high school at 12:30p.
The Unified Champion School Program promotes inclusion for all students, through school activities.
The program also supports a Leadership Council and a Peer Mentoring Program.
The teams will be made up of students, with special needs and those without.
New Jerseys have been made, and the game will feature starting lineup presentations for both teams.
Athletes from Michigan Tech and Finlandia, will be there for added support.
