Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia Seminar

Alzheimer’s is a disease of the brain that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. It is not part of normal aging.

The Alzheimer’s Association will present a free educational program at Gardenview Assisted Living and Memory Care in Calumet Thursday afternoon at 3:00.

This is a great opportunity for people in the community to learn more about Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Whether you have a friend or family member going through some of these issues, this session will help with understanding it all.

Topics will include the impact of Alzheimer’s, the difference between Alzheimer’s and  dementia, Alzheimer’s disease stages and risk factors, and current research and treatments available to address some symptoms.

All is welcome at no cost.  There will be some snacks and coffee to enjoy as well.
