Gas prices are higher this morning in our region than they were a week ago.
The AAA Michigan survey puts the average price of unleaded gas in the central Upper Peninsula at $2.53 per gallon. That’s nine cents higher than a week ago, a penny higher than a month ago, and six cents less than a year ago. It’s also two cents above the statewide average.
Keweenaw County again topped the state at $2.80 per gallon. Houghton County was slightly below the Marquette average at $2.51 per gallon. Baraga County was the lowest in the region at $2.42 per gallon.
