With the Upper Peninsula entering Phase Five of Governor Whitmer’s Six Phase plan to reopen Michigan today, here’s what to expect.
Hair and nail salons, along with barbershops, tattoo parlors and gyms are now allowed to reopen, provided they follow strict reopening guidelines, set forth by the Governor.
Movie theaters, convention centers and performance spaces can also reopen, with 25% maximum capacity or 250 people, whichever is smaller.
Larger gatherings are now allowed, again, provided they adhere to social distancing guidelines.
Indoor gatherings can hold up to 50 people, while outdoor gatherings can hold up to 250 people.
Sporting events, graduation ceremonies and outdoor performances can hold up to 500 people.
All businesses, which are already open, and those set to reopen today, are subject to a COVID-19 preparedness and response plan.
Details of the required plans are here.
