U.P. Catholics Double Giving Tuesday Donations

This year’s Upper Peninsula Catholic Ministries’ Giving Tuesday campaign doubled what was brought in last year.

The iGiveCatholic event raised more than $32,000, with donations directed to 45 different organizations.

Marquette Dioceses officials say much of the money is headed to their campus ministries, including $11,000 for Northern Michigan University, support for the Newman Center at Lake Superior State University, and a boost for efforts to restore an 1880’s organ at Saint Albert the Great parish at Michigan Tech.
