Two U.P. Men Face Child Sex Charges

A Gladstone man faces multiple child sex charges.

43-year-old Corey Savola was arrested Wednesday following an investigation conducted by the Michigan State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Detectives say they found evidence when they raided his home.

Savola was arraigned on 10 counts yesterday, including five counts of child sexually abusive activity – four of them aggravated. Bond was set at $400,000.

It’s not known if this case is related to an arrest earlier this week.

46-year-old Glenn Sutton of Newberry was taken into custody Monday by state police troopers.

He was arraigned Tuesday on an array of possession and distribution of child sexually abusive materials charges, and 18 counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

The investigation by the Michigan State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began after a tip came in from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Sutton was released on a personal recognizance bond.

The investigation into his activities continues. If you have any information, call the MSP Computer Crimes Unit at 877-642-9237.
