Two Treated after Thursday Crash Near Airport

Two people were taken to UP Health System-Portage for treatment after a single-vehicle crash near the Houghton County Memorial Airport yesterday morning.

Michigan State Police troopers were called out after a pickup truck apparently veered off the road and smashed into a tree along US-41.

Traffic on the highway was not disrupted.

The identities and conditions of the victims have not been released.

MSP continues its investigation. The Houghton County Sheriff’s Department, the Calumet Fire Department and the Quincy Fire Department provided assistance.
