Two Michigan Tech faculty members have been honored with prestigious CAREER Awards from the National Science Foundation.
Radwin Askari was honored for his study of the dynamics of magma-filled cracks inside volcanoes.
Hassan Masoud was recognized for his research into aquatic robots.
Both will receive grants to continue and expand their work.
More than 50 MTU researchers have received CAREER awards, which are awarded annually to junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through research and education.
