Two Motorcycle Accidents In Ontonagon County

The Ontonagon County Sheriff’s office received a report of a motorcycle personal injury accident Monday just after 6pm. Thomas Weks of Oak Grove, Louisiana was traveling on South Boundary Road when he lost control on a portion of curved roadway. The motorcycle left the roadway and entered the gravel shoulder and went to the ground. The driver sustained injuries and was taken by Sonco Ambulance to Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital. The motorcycle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Lahtis towing of Ironwood.

A second call was received a few minutes later about another personal injury accident.  Michael Cox of Oak Grove, Louisiana was also traveling on South Boundary Road when he lost control on a portion of curved roadway. The driver said the pavement was wet and he lost control, left the roadway onto the shoulder and rolled down into a gully. The driver was not injured. The motorcycle was removed from the scene by Lahti’s towing of Ironwood.
