Two L’Anse Paving Projects Approved

Two crumbling streets in the Village of L’Anse will be repaved this summer.

At last night’s meeting, village council members accepted a low bid of $202,988 from Bacco Construction to resurface Bayshore Drive south of Seifert Street, and Fourth Street hill just north of the L’Anse school complex.

Village manager Bob LaFave noted that village staffers had flagged the areas as being most in need of repair… [LAFAVE A].

Fourth Street going up to the school is nothing but cold patch right now.

LaFave and council members also expressed regret that the cost of road repairs doesn’t allow for more work to be done within the village…

There’s nothing about paving streets that’s cheap.

The two road projects should be completed by the end of the summer.
