Two Bodies Found In Burned Vehicle

UPDATE:

The identity of two bodies found following a vehicle fire have been released.  They are 19-year-old Joshua Michael Becia of Portage Township and 19-year-old Jay Henry Stevens of Painsdale.

Authorities are trying to determine the identities of two bodies found after a vehicle fire on Sunday.

Deputies from the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the vehicle fire on the Donken/Tapiola Road in Portage Township.

The Otter Lake Fire Department were called out to put out the fire.

After it was out, firefighters found the two bodies inside the vehicle.

Detectives from Houghton County, the Houghton County Medical Examiner and the Michigan State Police Fire Marshall are conducting the investigation.
