Two Arrested In Drug Bust In Atlantic Mine

On August 29th, detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) executed a search warrant at two adjacent residences located in Atlantic Mine.

During a search of those residences detectives seized heroin and crystal meth. Two subjects were arrested for possession of crystal meth and possession of heroin. Both subjects were lodged in the Houghton County Jail. The names of those arrested are being withheld pending their arraignment. The investigation remains ongoing.

UPSET was assisted by the Houghton County Sheriff’s Department, Michigan Tech Public Safety, Troopers from the Michigan State Police Calumet Post and Tpr. Kelley and his K-9 Bach from the Michigan State Police Gladstone Post.
