This year’s Toys for Tots campaign is underway.
This will be the 22nd year that the Keweenaw Detachment #1016 of the Marine Corps League has coordinated the effort in the Copper Country. It is the 75th year for the national program.
Last year, more than 1,200 children received more than 3,400 toys in Houghton, Keweenaw, Baraga and Ontonagon Counties.
Donation boxes for new, unwrapped toys will be set up this year at:
• Walmart in Houghton
• Walgreens in Houghton
• Swift Hardware
• Joey’s Seafood and Grill
• Auto Value in Houghton and Calumet
• Snyder Drugs in Calumet
• The Calumet Art Center
• The Family Dollar store in Hancock
• KC Bonkers in Hancock
