Tonight you can catch a showing of “The Great Alaskan Race” At the Calumet Theater.
The movie, on the Eve of the CopperDog 150, is the story of the mushers and dogs, who raced to bring the much needed serum to Nome Alaska, in the dead of Winter, to stop a Diptheria outbreak.
The journey they made in this movie became the inspiration for the world famous Iditarod Sled dog Race.
The show begins at 7:30pm, and a second show has been added on Saturday, the 29th at 5:30pm.
