Custom tours of Finland are being offered for next summer for Finnish Americans in the Upper Peninsula.
The tours are led by Anita Smiley of Preston, Connecticut, and include a variety of stops with special opportunities not typically available on commercial tours.
The 2018 tour takes place July 9-23, beginning with a flight out of Newark.
The tour begins in Helsinki and travels through eastern Finland to Rovaniemi, then heads south along the western coast through Swedish-speaking towns, to Tampere, Turku and Hanko before returning to Helsinki.
The travel price includes airfare, lodging, private coach and a tour guide in Finland, as well as two meals per day and numerous attractions along the tour route.
