The Ranger III is sight to see whenever is traverses the Portage Canal, but the best sights can be seen while aboard the vessel.
The public is invited to enjoy a three-hour cruise on the Keweenaw Waterway aboard the Ranger III on Thursday.
The ship will be docked at the Isle Royale National Park Visitor Center in Houghton.
To help celebrate the 100th birthday of the National Park Service, rangers will lead on-board activity stations that explore the history of the NPS and contemplate its future for the next 100 years.
Advance reservations are recommended. Tickets cost $20.00 for adults and $5.00 for children ages one through 15. Infants less than one year old sail for free. For information or reservations, call 482-0984.
