Swartz to Continue as KBIC Leader

Warren “Chris” Swartz will continue to lead the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community for another year.

Swartz was elected president of the Tribal Council at its organizational meeting Saturday. Gary Loonsfoot will serve as vice president, Kim Klopstein as secretary, Toni Minton as assistant secretary, and Doreen Blaker as treasurer.

Robert Curtis, Eddy Edwards, Dale Goodreau, Randall Haataja, Susan LaFernier, Rodney Loonsfoot and Don Messer round out this year’s council.
