Stuff A Blue Goose To Help Fight Hunger

It’s that time of year again to Stuff A Blue Goose.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police Calumet Post and five grocery stores in Baraga and Houghton counties will be working together to host the charity events.

The events are being held in conjunction with the 2018 Michigan Harvest Gathering Campaign.  The purpose is to raise hunger awareness and to provide food to local food pantries.  This year is the 28th anniversary of this campaign, which runs from October 15 through October 26.

Troopers will be at:

Econo Foods in Houghton Wednesday, October 17 from 11am to 2pm

Larry’s Market in Baraga on Friday, October 19 from 11am to 2pm

Pat’s Foods in Calumet on Saturday, October 20 from 10am to 1pm

Pat’s Foods in L’Anse Saturday, October 20 from noon to 3pm

Louie’s Super Foods in Lake Linden on Friday, October 26th from 10am to 1pm.

All grocery stores will have pre-made bags available for the public to purchase which will be stuffed in to a blue Michigan State Police car.

Each bag will be pre-filled with non-perishable food items valued at $20 or more and will be donated to local food pantries.
