Students From Finlandia’s TRIO Program Attend Student Leadership Summit

And finally twenty-two Western U.P. high school students, all part of Finlandia University’s TRIO programs, attended this year’s Student Leadership Summit.

Students heard from TRIO alumnus Grace Adofoli, who now works for the CDC in Atlanta, who challenged students to take on leadership characteristics and habits.

Students also heard from Baraga native Jake Putala, who recommended students not be hindered by fear.

Student Leadership Awards were given to Caitlyn Bloomberg, Katie Griffin, Austin Labonte and Mindy McKinnon.

Briar Sordahl was given a Student Ambassador Award.
