Stolen Weapons Cases Move Forward

hugall-jake-prelimOnly one out of three former Finlandia students suspected in the theft of firearms from a Hancock store physically appeared in court Wednesday.

19-year-old Jake Hugall waived his preliminary exam and his case was bound over to circuit court.

Police believe he may have been the lookout during a break-in of Northwoods Sporting Goods in December.

Three handguns, along with ammunition, were stolen and later found in a dorm room on Finlandia’s campus.
