State Police Seek Volunteers for Addiction Program

The Michigan State Police is looking for volunteers to help those struggling with addiction.

The Angel Program allows anyone to walk into any state police post, and ask for help – with no threat of arrest or investigation.

Angel volunteers assist post personnel in locating the appropriate treatment center, and transporting the participant to it.

Volunteers are reimbursed for mileage and meal expenses. After 20 hours, they also receive an hourly stipend.

A training session will begin soon at the Negaunee Post. To sign up, call 475-9922 or click here
