A joint appearance by three of the four candidates for the 109th State House of Representatives seat has been organized by the Marquette County League of Women Voters.
Republican Melody Wagner, and Democrats Joe Boogren and Jenn Hill have agreed to take part. Organizers say Republican Ron Gray declined their invitation.
The forum will include opening and closing statements by the candidates, and they will answer questions submitted in advance by members of the audience.
The session will begin at 6:00 on Thursday, at the Marquette Township Community Hall. Doors will open at 5:30. The event will also be live-streamed, and available for viewing online afterward. We have links posted on our KeweenawReport.com Community Calendar.
The 109th State House district was recently redrawn to include Baraga County. Incumbent Democrat Sara Cambensy is term-limited, and cannot run again.
