Spring/Summer Hours Begin At Finlandia University Gallery

The Finlandia University Gallery in the Finnish American Heritage Center in Hancock is now operating under their spring and summer hours. 

The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Please check the gallery webpage http://www.finlandia.edu/universitygallery/ for exhibition schedule. 

The current exhibit Finlandia University International School of Art & Design Bachelor of Fine Arts Diploma Works Exhibition is on display until May 29th.

On June 6th, the exhibit In the Land of the Finndians & Tradition Bearers opens.

The exhibit features photographs documenting the descendants of Finnish immigrants and Native Americans from the book by Katja Kettu, Meeri Koutaniemi, and Maria Seppälä.

Also on display, Tradition Bearers, a collection of materials created during the Finnish American Folk School.

There will be an opening reception on June 6th at 7pm and the exhibit will be on display until July 25th.
