Spring Road Weight Restrictions Imposed

Spring weight restrictions are now in effect on all local roads in Houghton, Keweenaw, Baraga and Ontonagon Counties.

Most trucks will be limited to carrying 65 percent of their normal weight limits until the ground thaws, and the roadbeds re-stabilize later this spring.

Signs are not posted in the four-county area, but the limits will be enforced, and remain in effect until further notice.
