The Copper Country Intermediate School District is one of 16 school districts in Michigan to receive summer food assistance.

Funded through a grant from the U.S Department of Agriculture, the program helps WIC-eligible families feed their children nutritious meals during the summer months when school meals are not readily available.

Eligible students will receive $30 of nutritious food per month for the three months of summer.

Bridge Cards and program materials have been mailed directly to families selected to participate.

The card comes pre-loaded with a food package that families can redeem in any WIC-authorized store.
