Shotgun Wielder Arrested in Humboldt Twp.

A man who fired a shotgun at family members was arrested yesterday morning in Humboldt Township.

State Police troopers were called to a residence around 9:00. They were told that the man had become violent during an argument about money. Family members tried to leave the residence, but the man fired toward their vehicles.

Troopers learned that the man had just been released from jail, and suffers from mental illness. He had made statements about killing people, and taking his own life.

The man still had the gun when troopers approached him, but he was arrested without incident. No one was injured.

He’ll undergo a mental health evaluation, and is facing several felony counts. His identity has not been released.
