Senator Peters Urges Trump Administration To Be Proactive Against Coronavirus

Michigan Senator Gary Peters continued his call for more funding, to prepare for a Coronavirus outbreak in the U.S.

Recently the Trump administration asked for $2.5 Billion to address the growing threat of an outbreak.

Senator Peters doesn’t feel that is enough.

Peters said he has urged the administration to work with congress to ensure we have the appropriate resources to develop and distribute vaccines and stockpile much needed medicine and protective equipment.

Peterson also believes additional support must be given to state and local governments, especially those assisting with quarantine efforts.
