Secretary Of State Launches Video Interviews To Prepare Voters For November Election

Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson has introduced a series of interviews with various special guests to make sure voters are “Ready for November.”

Legislation has been introduced to make the voting process easier, and Benson hosted the sponsors of the bill.

Senator Jeremy Moss, and Representatives Vanessa Guerra and Yousef Rabhi met with Benson and they discussed the key points to the legislation they sponsored, which include allowing clerks to begin processing ballots before election day, requiring clerks to reach out to voters whose ballot signatures don’t match the signature on file with the state and requiring employers to provide paid time off, so employees can go vote.

Benson believes the changes will improve the election process. A link to the interview is here.
