Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson is weighing options to make sure the May 5th elections do not put the public at risk.
Hundreds of jurisdictions are scheduled to take part in the May elections, which will include local issues such as school district bonds and millages.
Benson stated she wants to make sure Michiganders maintain the right to vote, without putting voter or poll worker health at risk.
Some jurisdictions have said they would consolidate the May elections into the August elections.
Benson also stated all options, including conducting the election by mail, are on the table.
Secretary of State Benson, Governor Whitmer and the Bureau of Elections are in talks to come up with a mutually beneficial plan.
