Seasonal Load Limits Suspended as Cold Weather Returns

Copper Country truckers can return to the roads with full weight this morning. 

Seasonal load restrictions, which went into effect last week, were temporarily suspended yesterday.

Temperatures back at seasonal levels should reverse the ground frost thaw that had forced load limits to be implemented weeks ahead of the usual timetable.

The order affects county roads in Houghton, Keweenaw, Baraga and Ontonagon Counties. 

Restrictions will be reinstated as weather and conditions necessitate.
