Valentine’s Day is a day meant for expressing love but a show Thursday night at the Calumet Theatre goes against the traditional grain.
It’s the UnValentine’s Show, featuring Songs and Tales of Unforgiveness, Heartbreak, Dysfunction and Revenge from Jamie-Sue Seal and John Latini.
Executive Director Marlin Lee says folks will enjoy the lighthearted look at romance. “Love has its ups and downs and that’s kind what this show’s about. It’s comedy music—the UnValentine’s Show—and it’s kind of tongue-in-cheek, love gone wrong in some cases, and it should be a lot of fun,” said Lee.
Prior to the show, the Calumet Theatre will unveil their upcoming season schedule with a special 25-minute preview video.
Lee says the great artists that are coming in span the spectrum of entertainment. “We upped the ante a lot, as far as the level of talent coming in. We’ve got six Grammy-winning or nominated artists that will be performing on the Calumet Theatre stage this year. We will also have finalist from The Voice and a finalist from America’s Got Talent,” he said.
Tickets for the spring season schedule go on sale on Friday for Calumet Theatre members only for two weeks.
