The search is underway for Michigan’s official 2022 Christmas tree.

Officials are looking for a spruce or fir tree, at least 60 feet tall, with a maximum crown of 24 feet, and a maximum trunk diameter of 30 inches.

The tree must be easy to access for harvest, and must be donated.

The nomination deadline is August 15th. If you have a tree that you’d like to be considered, email your name, telephone number, a photograph of the tree, and information about its size and location to ChristmasTree@michigan.gov.
