Science on Tap! Pub Crawl In Downtown Houghton

Houghton, MI. (August 1, 2017) – Keweenaw Young Professionals (KYP), a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit, will host Science on Tap! Pub Crawl on Thursday, August 3, 2017 in downtown Houghton.

Attendees will hear from some of the Keweenaw’s scientists and researchers as they travel to various pubs and restaurants in downtown Houghton. Science on Tap! is an opportunity for conversation, debate, and interaction with all things science while enjoying local beer and food.

“We are excited to be offering this unique event to the community” said Devin Leonarduzzi, current President of KYP. “We have great pubs, world-class scientists, and a community that’s really interested in the science. It just makes sense.”

Each presentation will be interactive, with attendees able to get hands-on with mineral samples, take an up-close look brewing yeast, and challenge their friends in climate trivia.

The Science on Tap! Pub Crawl will take place Thursday, August 3 starting at 6pm. Tickets are priced at $15, which includes a KYP lanyard and bottle opener. The event itinerary is as follows:
