The Copper Country Rock and Mineral Club hosted their annual Gem and Mineral show over the weekend at the Houghton Elementary School.
A variety of different rocks, gems and minerals from all over the world were on display and some are even available for purchase.
The show may be smaller than in previous years, but there were still many different specimens to view.
“We have nine dealers from all over Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan here will a lot of their wonderful specimens that they have purchased and are selling to other people,” said Marg Rohrer from the Copper Country Rock and Mineral Club.
While at the show, kids were able to use a metal detector to find copper.
There were also displays put together by local members of the Rock and Mineral Club that feature local minerals like datalite, greenstone and, of course, copper.
