Ribbon Cutting & Dedication For New Calumet Theatre Elevator

The public is invited to a ribbon cutting and dedication for the new elevator at the Calumet Theatre.

The event marks the completion of the “Lift Us Up” Elevator Project.

The ceremony will take place on September 4th, starting at 4pm with the ribbon cutting, followed by the dedication at 5pm. The event concludes at 7pm.

The community will be allowed to view and ride the elevator to the Red Jacket Ballroom, where refreshments and snacks will be served.

Representatives from the Theatre Company, Calumet Village, the Keweenaw National Historical Park, U.P. Engineers & Architects, Thomas Moyle Construction, and Representative Scott Dianda will be present.

Visitors are asked to please use the ramped entrance of the Theatre building for access to the elevator and Ballroom.
