Representative Greg Markkanen from Hancock, has voted to give healthcare workers legal protection as they battle the COVID-19 pandemic.
This from a press release late last night.
Markkanen said health care professionals have been forced to make incredibly difficult decisions while caring for patients under strained circumstances due to the coronavirus. Giving them legal protection will allow them to focus their time and energy on providing the best care possible to patients.
Markkanen, whose mother was a registered nurse, is a former Army Medical Corpsman.
He closed by saying he was proud to stand up for our health care workers and make sure they have these important protections.
