Registration Open For Summer Art Classes & Programs

Hancock- Registration is now open for summer art classes at the Copper Country Community Arts Center. There is a an exciting variety of classes, programs, and camps this summer, including free programs for 8th-12th grade students.

Classes include metal casting, lost wax bronze casting, writing, watercolor painting, letterpress printing, clay, drawing, haiku & letterpress workshop, flipbook animation, knit camp for teens, free art demonstrations, first Saturday field sketching, and Summer Arts Camp for students entering 3rd-6th grades.

Booked UP!  Free book arts programs for 8th-12th grades begin in mid may with Drawing Group, led by Abigail Tembreull and Inseo Yoon. Additional free programs for 8th-12th grade students throughout the summer include letterpress printing, bookbinding, writing, two sessions of Book Arts Camp, two session of Drawing Group, and block printing cards. These free programs are made possible by a New Leaders grant from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and support from the Portage Health Auxiliary.
